FLINT -- The Community Christian College Men's Basketball team was upended on the road by Mott Community College on Thursday night, 86-71. The Lions slipped to 9-6 on the season.
DaiQuan Coach had 23 points and six rebounds, shooting 8-for-12 from the floor and 7-for-10 from the line. Trey West added 18 points, getting to the line three times, making three. Derald Blackmon had 13 points and eight boards.
Mott (10-3) built a 9-point lead over the first 12 minutes of action, and the Lions spent the rest of the half battling back. DC3 trailed at the break, 42-33.
Early in the second half, a 7-0 run from Trey West brought Community Christian to within six at 52-46. The Bears went on a 23-7 run, pushing their lead out to 10.
From there, DC3 was unable to get the disadvantage under 8.
Community Christian returns to action on Saturday, at The Dearborn Academy against Alpena CC. Tipoff in Dearborn is scheduled for 3 p.m.
