Men's Basketball Scores All Over Kirtland
DETROIT – The Community Christian College Men's Basketball team faced Kirtland Community College on November 2nd. In that game, the short-handed Lions lost 78-67 on the road in their season opener.
Fast forward 39 days later, the Firebirds and Lions tipped off again. This time, DC3 had all the tools at their disposal, and took home the victory in a 103-67 win on Wednesday evening.
The Lions were led by a 33-point outburst from Terrence Partridge, who shot 12-of-23 from the field, 6-of-10 from deep, and 3-of-4 from the free throw line. He added 5 rebounds and a steal.
DaiQuan Coach had 18 points and seven assists, while Rasheed Spratling added 13 off the bench.
The Lions led by 30 at halftime, and never trailed in the game.
The visitors tried to get back into it, but the Firebirds top point scorers this season only combined for 4 points total between the two of them.
Partridge would score 20 points in the 2nd half, nearly half of the output from DC3. Pretty impressive, considering he was on the bench for a considerable amount of time after tweaking his foot.
Community Christian improved to 8-4, while the Firebirds drop to 1-5.
The DC3 Lions return to action this Saturday at Schoolcraft College, tip off is set for 3pm.
